I need to find a place close to Oak Park to get my 19 month son Asher's haircut.
Although he doesn't watch much TV It would be great if we could find a place that will allow a video so he will sit still.
Any suggestions.... under $20?
There is a place in Lincoln Park called Kid Snips, or Snippets, or something and they can watch movies during the cut. Super cute!
Elan in River Forest on Lake Street is where we take our kids. We have a 20 month old son who sits on my lap and watches tv while they cut his hair. they are great - ###-###-####.
There is also a Snippets at the Yorktown mall in Lombard. We used to take my son there, but now that he no longer needs the distractions he just goes wherever my hubby goes. Ask for a woman named Rachelle. She is so sweet and is VERY good.
We've taken both our daughters to Kidsnips at Oakbrook Mall since they were 18 months old. They have little cars that the kids sit in, and they can watch a video that they pick out or even play video games. They take appointments and also do walk-ins. I think the cut is $18, but you'll want to confirm that before you go. Plus, they'll take a photo of your son and make an adorable little "First Haircut Certificate" along with a small ziploc baggie of the cut hair. After the haircut, the kids can pick a small toy out of the toy bin - it's mostly junkie stuff, but totally cool for the kids. Also, they get a helium balloon. I highly recommend them.
I don't know if they are in Oak Park but try the websites for Crew Cuts and Pigtails, Snipets or kidCuts. Those places are all VERY kid oriented!!
