Looking for Female Pediatrician

I am looking for a good female pediatrician for my 10 year old daughter. I love my pediatrician but she is at the age she wants to see a woman. Any suggestions? We live in the Allen area, but I am willing to go to Plano, McKinney or Dallas (as far as Presbyterian Dallas). Thanks!

What can I do next?

We use PHA on Eldorado in McKinney, and we absolutely love Dr. Sutton. However, several of our friends' children see other doctors (male and female) there, and they also have nothing but great things to say about it.

We also go to Dr. Dugopolski, and think she's great. She's very patient with explaining things, which is important as your daugther gets older and needs to understand what's going on with her body. GL!

Dr. Norah Randles is awesome! She's younger but very knowledgeable. She's with Richardson Pediatrics. Their number ###-###-#### Always get in the same day, nurses in the office are all RN's, doctor/RN call back the same day to answer any questions you have and the front office staff know my kids names:-} We love Dr. Randles!! Oh, there's only one other MD in the practice and we always see Dr. Randles unless it's Thursday which is her day off.

We use Dr. Piga. www.pigapediatrics.com

She is in Plano. My 13 yr old loves her. About 2 yrs ago Dr. Nena Piga's daughter Naomi joined her practice and last year Dr. Capote joined. All women and All great with girls.

My daughter shrugged once when her weight was taken because she weighed 98 and was almost 13 yrs old. Both mom and daughter Dr's noticed the shrug and they gave her a good learning experience about eating right, etc and how she was actually underweight. They talked to her about eating disorders, etc.

My only concern is that they are positive on the guardisil vaccine and I am negative. We will see how that goes on the next check up visit. I will not have my daughter take that vaccine. However, it has been about a year since that was discussed and more information has come out about the vaccine which is not positive so they may have changed their opinion and I am unaware of it.

They are on 15th Street just East of Plano Medical Center. ###-###-####. NEVER an issue with insurance.

Good luck.

We go to Raintree Pediatrics in Allen and I LOVE them .. there are 3 ladies in that practice and 1 male. I always choose Sabrina (she is OUR FAV, IMO). We always see her ... even when I have last minute sick apts. I have only seen the male doc once, but with the ration of 3:1 .. I'm guessing you'd be good to only see the female peds. :-)
