my son is about to be three years old and he still talks in baby words he says milk and cup,mommy,dad,auntie,grandma,nana.pazza,shoe,at his daycare they feel like they have to have a one on one with him because they tell all the kids to do to the play room and he will stiill stand there and walk away in another direction..so now they have a lady working with him,he has an iep..so now i have an appiontment with socialsecurity but i dont think i am going cus i really dont need anyone making fun of my baby.i say that because i remember...

Baby Waking and Wanting Pacifier (a.k.a. Dear God, I'm So Tired!)

So, my baby (20 weeks old) is incredibly oral...has been since birth. Everyone, including her occupational therapist, noted that a pacifier is a must for her: she simply has a biological need to suck on something. Currently, she can go about 8 hours at night: she goes down between 7 and 8, wakes up between 10 and 11 for a feeding, and can sleep until about 7 am. BUT, around 1:30am/2, the nightly pacifier frustration starts. She wakes up almost hourly, wanting us to put the binky back in her mouth. I'm not sure that the missing pacifier...

Seeking Preschool in Lakewood/East Dallas

My daughter is 6 months old and I am wanting to get her on a waiting list for a preschool. I know this is already too late for some preschools! Can anyone recommend a program that they are happy with and give me some details? (waiting list, tuition, how many days a week, how many hours, starting age, etc). Thanks!

To Do Lefty or to Do Righty

I looked back and couldn't quite find the answer I was looking for so I'm gonna ask. Our 4 year old son is a lefty, it took no time to figure that one out. I can right lefty if I need to, but am mainly right handed. So he loves to write and draw, but he cannot pick a dominent hand to do it w/. He will be in the middle of writing his name or any word and switch hands to finish. I've never seen any kid do this. Will he eventually pick a hand to write w/??
