Homeschooling a 3 Year Old

Any advice on starting a cuuriculum for my 3 year old. I'm a SAHM and our budget is slim, right now I can't afford to get him into half day preschool. The least expensive I've found is $95 a week. So I've been seriously thinking of homeschooling him. What advice, websites and curriculum can be beneficial and easy to teach. Thanks moms

Unruly 3 Year Old

I wrote a couple of weeks ago and i really need some advise. My 3 year old girl is completely out of control. She does not listen to anyone, she is horribly bratty, and has no regard for anyone else. When we are with other children, she will rip toys away from them, push them, and is ALWAYS the boss. But, she is the first to cry when someone else does something to her that she doesn't like. She has started talking baby talk all the time. It's not an attention thing, because I give her attention 24/7 and try very hard to be patient. ...

What Do You Do for Punishment?

Hi, I have 3 kids, aged almost 6, 4 and 2. The older two are boys with the almost 6 year old in 1/2 day Kindergarten. I'm going to start this by saying I have great kids. Generally they are very well behaved, but they are kids and they make mistakes. I am curious about what other parents use for punishment as their kids get older. I use time out, distraction, and taking a break with my 2 year old, and my 4 year old gets time out and toys put in time out as well. But I am struggling to find appropriate punishment for my older boy....

3 Year Old Running Away from Me

Any suggestions on how to stop my 3 year old from taking off on me? I'm at my wits end. Today he took off in a parking lot and I was so furious and scared that I spanked him. I've never spanked him before and I feel horrible but he could have been seriously hurt. He knows exactly what he's doing since he turns around and giggles when he's taking off. I also have a baby generally in a stroller or the cart etc. so I can't exactly leave her where we are at to run after him. AURGH!

At What Age Is a Child Old Enough to Be 'Grounded'?

Hi moms, I am wondering at what age did you start to use grounding as a punishment? I have a 4.5 year old and we use time out as punishment (among other things). I think she is old enough now to be grounded, but my husband thinks she is still too young. Thanks in advance. **Added: By grounded, I meant that she is not allowed to do a fun activity outside of the house for a day or two. We have plans to go to a bounce house place tomorrow with my best friend and her kids. My daughter was not listening tonight, so I said lets ground her...
