My 2 yr old daughters cheeks get chapped so easily. They crack & are so red. She drinks plenty of water & I keep either Vaseline or Mustela face chapstick on them. Any other recommendations out there?? Thanks!

Aquaphor---healing ointment from Eucerin. Find it anywhere. It's amazing!! I swear by it. Put it on her cheeks at night and it will be gone by morning. Anywhere else too, lips hands, etc.

We used aquaphor for a long time, but now with the cold, dry weather, his cheeks still got red.so we switched to california baby and it was a miracle! I used my 20% off coupon at buy buy baby to make it cheaper.

Aquaphor works like a charm! Just buy the regular in the moisturizer section. It's no different than the "Baby Aquaphor" in the baby section, but it costs about a buck less!

I would recommend Aquaphor Healing Ointment: http://amzn.to/eYPBLF or Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream: http://amzn.to/eHOwkH. Just a thought, when you wash her face at bath-time are you using a soap for sensitive skin, like Aveeno? We live in a dry climate and daughter has similar problem and both lotions mentioned seem to do the trick.

Eucerin Aquifor ointment. It is for extremely dry, irritated skin. It's the best and I'm never without it for all types of dry skin issues.

MS is right. Renew lotion is the best thing out there. It was clinically tested in a double blind trial in Winnepeg, Canada in the middle of their snowiest/windiest season in the middle of their Winter. Renew was at least 70% better in all categories against prescription meds that dermatologists recommend and skin stayed supple days after an initial use.

I use it for my hands, my face, my 92 year old Dad's psoriasis and as a barrier cream and a diaper cream for my 4 month old niece. It's manufactured by a registered pharmaceutical company that specializes in natural products.

Hope this helps!

M.

Our skin is an outward representation of the health of our body. Drinking lots of water is important to hydrate our skin, but it is not the only thing. A healthy diet rich in Omega 3's is also important. A lot of time we take in more Omega 6's(hydrogenated oils) and through off the balance within our body. Fish is an excellent source of Omega 3, but make sure you are buying organic since a lot of fish these days is tainted with chemicals. Shaklee also has an excellent Omega 3 product that kids love because it is a chewable and taste like orange. It is called Mighty Smart. Also make sure she is is taking warm bath's not hot water which is damaging to our skin. It is important to remember that what you put on the skin is absorbed into the blood stream. For this reason organic is best if you wouldn't put it in your mouth then you shouldn't put it on your skin. Shaklee also has a great line of baby products that are organic and will not harm the body. I would also encourage you to get her on a good multi-vitamin if she is not already taking one. If you would like to look at the shakee products you can message me and I will send you a link to my website.

Aquaphor Healing Ointment is absolutely a must for my son's cheeks. Works wonders!! Target has a generic version of it in the baby diaper aisle, next to the large tube Aquaphor (next to the Desitin, etc) that works just as well. His doctor told us to use it as he has eczema problems on his cheeks. Some of my friends swear by it as well. You will find both near the diaper ointments, as it is used for that too. I also use it on my dry, cracking hands and fingers during the winter months.

For many years, I was a Mary Kay rep. I am no longer a rep however I swear by Mary Kay Night Cream (the original formula moisturizing step) for chapped lips, hands, et al. I believe it does contain some fragrance just in case that's an issue.
