I just relocated here from VA and we want to start trying to have a second child soon. I don't know anything about Texas and I was wondering what the best hospital in the area (I live in Keller) was to deliver a baby and if anybody had an OB/GYN they'd recommend that delivers at that hospital. Any help would be most appreciated. Thanks.

I live in Keller and delivered at Baylor Grapevine -- the staff and doctors there were first class and I felt so well taken care of. My first baby was born in OHio and that was probably the most wonderful place I could have imagined....I almost wanted to go back JUST to have as great of an experience but this even topped THAT! I highly recommend Baylor Grapevine! Good luck!!

I moved here 1 year ago from Florida and I was 15 weeks pg at the time. I was referred to Dr Allen. He delivers at North Hills Hospital (unless high risk then he goes to Baylor) I really liked him and the hospital. The hopital is right off of 820 and he has an office there. He has another office on the corner of Basswood and Park Vista. Good luck!

Welcome to Texas. I lived in VA during my college years. - Keller is a great town, growing and full of many young families. Before I got pregnant with my son (who is now 2), I asked many of my friends the same question. Everyone who I talked with highly recommended Baylor Regional Medical Center at Grapevine. My experience at Baylor was great. The staff was very supportive an attentive.

Hospital - Baylor of Grapevine
Dr - Courtney Walters Womens Integrated Health (Note, she is currently on maternity leave, but will be back within the next few weeks)

I work for Baylor Grapevine, right on Hwy. 114 and this is THE BEST place to have a baby -- I had mine here 2 years ago and plan to have my next one here as well (whenever that may be). Dr. Julia Flowers has an office here in the hospital as well and she is WONDERFUL. I'd look us up and Dr. Flowers as well!!

I just had a baby 6 months ago in Las Colinas (north Irving). It's about a 25 minutes drive from Keller (without traffic) so I don't know if you would want to drive that all the time. But the Las Colinas Medical Center Hospital is great! Big spacious rooms... nice staff... plus, the mommy gets an alarm bracelet that syncronizes with the baby's anklet and it acts like an alarm. If the baby is sent to the wrong mother, it will go off. Plus if the baby is removed from an area, it will go off.

My OB/GYN was Dr. Steven Hoffman. GREAT doctor. He always had time to talk to me. He has delivered several babies and it shows during birth when he acts like your cheerleader... Very nice guy.

I use Dr. Beverly Wood. She is in Bedford, I delivered both of my children at Harris Methodist HEB hospital also in Bedford. They have great lactation nurses dedicated to helping you succeed if you attempt to breastfeed. I know Dr. Wood just added another female Dr. to her practice as well. The number is ###-###-####. I have a few friends who delivered at Grapevine Baylor, but the rooms at HEB are much larger. They also opened a new NICU in case your baby comes early.

I moved to Keller when I was 8 months pregnant. (7 months ago) I was very stressed about making all the decisions about doctors and hospitals at the last moment. A friend from here reccommended my doctor, (Dr. Mendez) and the hospital, both Grapevine Baylor. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I was worried b/c I had a C-section with my 1st baby and wanted to try to have my 2nd w/o the surgery. Dr. Mendez was very open and understanding wheras my doctor from where I moved from said absolutely not... Long story short, I had the baby w/o having another C-section. The delivery went perfectly and I couldn't have been happier with the doctor and the hospital. Good luck!!

Hi H.. I am currently pregnant and go to the Women's Integrated Healthcare in Grapevine, Texas. It is associated with Baylor Grapevine. Baylor has a really good reputation in DFW. I have loved the facility and staff and would defintely recommend them. I started going there based on referrals from friends who had babies with the same doctors at Baylor Grapevine.

Hi H.,

I had my first baby last June at Baylor Medical Center of Grapevine. It isn't too far from Keller and I have to say it was a fantastic hospital. I had a C-section and the nursing staff was wonderful. The rooms are very spacious and overall it made for a nice stay as far as hospitals go.

I hope it helps!
