We are planning a vacation for late April. We have a 7 y/o boy, 2.5 y/o daughter and 6 m/o baby. I am seeking ideas and advice! Loads of fun and sun too! Oh, yes definetly in the US.

What can I do next?

We took an awesome vacation (road trip), to Hilton Head, SC. from Chicago back when my daughter was 1 1/2 y/o. It was perfect! It's a 16 hr. drive from chicago, and we stopped in TN on the way down & stayed one night, then continued the rest of the way. Hilton Head is beautiful & very family friendly! We stayed at a condo by Marriott right on the beach in Hilton Head, we had 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths, seriously better then our house! haha There are ALOT of condo's for rent down there, and I'd recommend that w/3 kids. Lots of room, near the beach, full kitchens, laundry and everything. Fly or drive, GREAT place to vacation!

Pigeon Forge/Gatlainburg, TN. LOVE it there. Kid friendly. Tons to do. Super neat shows. Stay at an indoor waterpark hotel for one or two nights to add to the overall fun.

Highly recommend: Ripley's Aquarium, Ripley's Believe It or Not Museum (Both in Gatlainburg) and Dixie Stampede (Pigeon Forge). All super kid friendly. Have a great vaca whatever you do!

Our best family vacation was a home that we rented in Cape Coral, FL with an in ground heated pool. The only thing I would've changed was I would've looked at Ft Meyers instead because it was closer to the beach. My kids loved it, I loved all the conveniences of being in a home (cooler, radio, bbq grill, games, beach towels, blankets for beach, washer and dryer, full kitchen so we didn't have to eat out every day). With the ages of your children it would give you a lot of freedom. We went to a couple different beaches, and took a trip to Punta Gorda while we were down there. There was LOTS to do in the area and the weather was so nice at the end of March! So relaxing - litereally a perfect vacation!

That's what I would do :)

I took tubes, goggles and squishy balls and waterproof cards in my suitcase on the plane and since it had a washer and dryer I packed less clothes and did a few loads of laundry.
