I am looking for a way to store all of my kids artwork. I would like to find something expandable that is at least legal size, but preferably larger. Does anyone know where I could find something like this?

Thanks!

In addition to art portfolios, I use those accordion files that people usually put their tax receipts and other home bill and paperwork in.

I know this isn't the answer to your question, but just wanted to throw the idea out there. Especially since today I got an email from snapfish promoting buy 1 get 2 free. I get my kids to pull out their art work,We go through and pick out the best or can't live with out stuff. Some of it we keep the hard copy of, but most of it we take pictures of and turn into a photo book. It is very cool and something they are really proud to see when it arrives in the mail and it frees up a lot of space in their cabinet! Although if you are still set on the expandable file I would check office depot, or even hobby lobby.

I saw once on an organizing show this suggestion...take pictures of each item, save it in a file, then at the end of each school year (or your set time) have a photo album made out of it. Then you can trash the original. I love my son's artwork, but let's face it. There is no way to save, store, display everything they make.

Check out this frame: http://www.amazon.com/Lil-Davinci-Art-Cabinet-8-5/dp/B000...

I plan to get one for my kid's artwork and when I recommended it to my brother, he got 2 of them and they love them. You can also read all the other reviews. It does come in other sizes as well.

I have a big cork board hanging on a wall that we fill with pics from that season. When we move on to the next pics(halloween) we will put them in the long tote to save. I prefer to keep the pics they made with their own two hands rather than a picture of it, but that's me.

i do the portfolios from michaels or hobby lobby. they are large (30x40)? and made of flexible plastic-ish stuff (recycled material) and they velcro closed w/ a mesh strap to carry. they expand and are able to stand on end/store in a narrow space. look in the artist supplies section. they can be pricey, so make sure the one you pick scans correctly and use the coupons! i got mine for $10 each if you time it right. i tried the underbed storage boxes, but my kids' stuff is too wide (we homeschool and use easel paper; it ts too wide for the box, and bottom of box is not truly flat) I dream of someday going thru the portfolios and photographing the best stuff, or the "firsts", but that is not anytime soon! my firstborn is 8 and i never even filled out his babybook all the way. (BOO Bad mommy!)
good luck!

Look for scrapbooking storage. I got a couple that are awesome. I can't find them again though. There are some in the toy magazines that you get in the mail but they were expensive for what they are.
Good luck.

I don't know if this helps, but craft stores.... Michaels and Joanns has the portfolios in many sizes that will help store art work. They are pricy.
Another option is to get the under the bed containers and store them in that. That is all I know to do for us.
