I am a former bra fitter. I also have a daughter who wears a DD. Title Nine has the best constructed bras I've seen in years. Vanity Fair used to make one that was very good, but I don't know if it's still around. I've been out of the business a while.

The Enell bra is amazing. It is the sports bra discussed on the Oprah bra episode a few years ago. It has 10 hooks/eyes in the front and you do not move an inch. You can jump rope with it on. I wore it as a post-nursing size G.
Check out the sizing at Enell or bareneccessities.com. I still have one that is a size 1. You can have it if you think it will fit you. I am smaller now, so I do not need it anymore. Email me directly if you want it.

I have found that what works for me is to wear two sports bras. I wear one that is a little snug first and then one that is a little bigger over top of the first one. It really helps! I am a runner and wear a 36DD! HTH!

You might try Title Nine (www.titlenine.com) They carry all sorts of sports bras and sports apparel for women only. You can also shop their bras by size and coverage you want. They carry your size and have several to choose from. Good Luck!

Sounds like you've got lots of good ideas on places to shop. I would add that I'm not very large now, but when I was running while nursing, I used to double up my sports bras. It worked like a charm!

Dear D.,
Specialized stores in running such as Run On or Luke's Locker
have different brands of good sport bras. The brand I use is Moving Comfort. The price range is around $40-50 but they last long and are very comfortable. I am running almost every day and wash my sport bras regularly. I am impressed by the quality of these things!

Here are the websites of the stores. They have several locations in the Dallas Fort Worth area.
www.runontexas.com
www.lukeslocker.com

They have knowlegeable staff who can give you advice as well.

Good luck.

There is a place called Intimacy Me at North Park in Dallas. They fitted me for a bra and had sports bras as well. I am a 32 dd/ddd. I feel your pain in finding a bra. I was really happy with my experience there. Ask for Monica.

Well, I haven't bought a sports bra lately, but I have bought a regular bra from another company and I love it.

It is expensive, but worth it. Mine was around $70 You get personally measured and custom fitted. I belong to Curves and they had a lady come and set up appts to get your proper measurements and show you the bras.

Here's the info:
Felicia Williams, Rep's name
essential bodywear- company's name
www.myessentialbodywear.com/felicia- company website
____@____.com- rep's email address

You can even have a party and invite other women and get discounts off their bras as a bonus.

I look better in this bra, it supports me much better than store bras. It is well made and I'm very pleased with it.
I remember them having a sports bra, so check them out. Let Felicia know I referred you, my name is C. Witz. Good luck and hope it works out for you. Felicia is very nice and it doesn't take long for her to order it and she even educates you about bras in general/care of them,etc...

Welcome to the club;0) I have always been rather busty for my size and I am very athletic a d have always had to wear like 2-3 bra/sportbra combo untill I found the best sports bra ever at a boutique in California! Luckily I just saw that they carry the same bra in the jcpenny catalog. It's called Glamorise or glamorcise and it is awesome. I run, box, kickboxing, and do bootcamps and only need one bra now. If u can't find it pm me and I will find the catalog and give u exact info. It's a Lil pricey but oh so worth it!!

Try Athleta (www.athleta.com) or Titlenine (www.titlenine.com). Athleta just got acquired by Gap so they have reasonable shipping fees. You may be able to return to a Gap store..not sure about that one. Also they have VERY cute work out gear. Both stores provide ratings on their bras as well.

On another note, you may want to try the stair climber. You work hard but you are not bouncing up and down.

Good luck!

Check these websites: bravissimo.co.uk is a British site but they ship to the US and I've heard great things about them. Also look at www.figleaves.com. They both carry products for larger sizes and have some good info on fitting as well.

There is a bra/lingerie shop in Casa Linda shopping center called the Maddox Shop. They are the BEST in town and have been for YEARS. They will custom fit a high quality bra for you at a reasonable price. If they don't have it in stock, they will order it for you. They are fabulous! They even do custom orders for breast cancer victims. I am currently wearing a 5 YEAR OLD bra that I bought from them.... now that's getting your money's worth!

Hi, D.,
I am about the same size as you and have had good luck ordering from the JC Penney catalog and also from Roaman's online. Roaman's has a surprisingly good selection and everything in their catalogs are for full figured women.
Good luck.
