Start with a couple of pizzas and afterwards they can get into their pajamas and watch a couple of movies. Once the first movie is over, they start telling stories and giggling, so they don't even watch the second one!
Karaoke is a lot of fun too, and if they do a little dress up with boas, hats, fake jewelry, some makeup, they'll enjoy that too.
You can have a manicure session where they do each others nails. Prepare the station with nail polish remover, cotton balls. Give each girl a small bag. with a clipper, nail files, cuticle oil, clear nail polish, etc. to take home with them. Enjoy it all. Happy Birthday to the B-girl.

Make your own french bread personal pizzas. Something like twister or an interactive game. Scary movie (age appropriate) or funny movie. Maybe a beauty salon type thing... nails and toe nails? Barrowing your brothers gaming system may not be a bad idea. I know that there are some really fun dance games that they would have fun for hours with. Lastly, if you know anyone with a karaoke machine, that would be tons of fun.

Well, we did this several times between the ages of 10 and 13. We would have pizza, ice cream watch movies ... older fun ones like the original parent trap. We would tie dye pillow cases. I have an easy way to do this.... use permanent markers and alcohol. If you are interested contact me. also not a mess like regular tie dye. Or shrinky dinks.... are fun to do as zipper pulls. what about if they make a pizza have cupcakes or a full size cake cut in half and one group decorates one and the other group the other have a contest on the best, or the worst what ever and then they eat it. I like the idea of doing make up, hair, nails ..... board games... what about a scavenger hunt or get a list of stars write them on paper and slap one on the back of each girl and they have to figure out who it is by questioning others. Or since it is near Christmas use things like frosty the snowman, an elf....ok I have hundreds of more but will stop there for now. good luck and have fun!!

Buy pizza, hoagie, salad or taco fixings and let them cook and prepare a meal, eat it and then clean it up. That should take up alot of time. Then do the same with ice cream and sunday fixings.

What about old fashioned board games? I don't think tweens think these are "bored" games just yet. Twister is always a hoot.

Got karaoke? That would keep them busy for hours if you can set them up with music they like.

Buy facial stuff, mani and pedi kits and let them go at it and doll up.

I wouldn't advise leaving them to entertain themselves. Idle hands are the devil's workshop. :) Someone'll try to sneak out or might get on the cell phones or computer and start mischief in ways you can't imagine, nor would you notice unless you were standing there.

I second home made pizza-- food and entertainment in one! You can either do personal pizzas or let them section off bigger crusts to top the way they want.... And if they make enough they can have leftover pizza for breakfast!

My most favorite sleepover when I was a kid was when my friends mom came in w/a bunch of magazines - teen and fashion - and we sat around and flipped through them all. There were only 3 or 4 of us and my friend's mom made sure our comments weren't too catty.

Have them do a lip sync contest - divide them into teams and let them dress up. Just getting them to choreograph a few moves for one song should take at least an hour. Make sure tohave an awesome prize for the winners.

In the morning, make sure you get up and shower before they do b/c 8 tweens sounds like looooooooong bathroom times.
