Skin Tag Removal

I just had a skin tag removed. I am in a bit of discomfort. I'm going to assume that this is normal given the area (an area where no one wants things growing, lol). Anyone have any experience with getting skin tags removed?

What can I do next?

I just had one removed by laser in my armpit and I had ZERO discomfort. I recommend that way of doing it if you need to have another removed.

I have had other ones removed in years past (cut off), but I don't remember having a lot of trouble. I think that if I were you, I'd call and find out if there is a type of bandage you can use to help. Maybe everytime you move, the skin "pulls". A specialized bandage might help with that.

Hello
Only had one or two removed from upper inner thigh.. it didn't hurt a lot, but since the inner thigh is a bit tender, I could definitely feel that something had been cut away.. The slight annoyance of it probably lasted a couple of days..
I like what Doris mentioned below in that you can now have them removed via laser.. I actually didn't know that was an option..

Hey girl. I've had em there and removed. Yes discomfort but I was so freaking glad to have them gone because they made me so self conscious I didn't care! I hate those dang things! I've had a few pop up since then and I just cut em myself (not down there). I know that's not recommended but it's been fine so far.

I have had several removed a few times, and they were sore. They hurt. They were all on my neck, but I still have scars from them. One hit an artery and wouldn't cauterize...and then it did, and broke open, and I went into shock. But my husband took care of it so I didn't have to go to the ER. A little soreness and pain is pretty normal, especially in tender areas. I hope it gets better soon!

Hurt for a minute or so but never had one on my nether regions

I've had a few but I've never had them in any sort of difficult spot.
It was easy to just snip them off with sterilized scissors, apply a bandaid and that was that.
They never hurt and removing them was painless.

I just use clippers and take them off myself. Done. I put some antibiotic ointment on them and they heal in a couple of days.

Hi R.,

Everyone has a different pain tolerance. If the discomfort persists I would revisit the Dr. For now? I would take some ibuprophen and see how I feel tomorrow. Hoping you feel better. S.
