Hello Moms,
I was wondering if anyone has a sit and stand stroller that they love or can recommend. I have a 4 1/2 year old and a 2 1/2 year old and am expecting another little one in a couple of weeks. I currently have a double stroller (which I haven't used in sometime because my kids were getting older and I can't see my 2 year old sitting in it). I also have a very old, hand-me-down sit and stand stoller that I currently use when we go to the mall or something. Anyway, with the new baby coming, I would like to get another sit and stand stoller, but after researching them, I can't seem to find one that the front seat reclines...I only see ones that have 2 positions. I like the idea of a sit and stand stoller because my 2 1/2 year old could ride on the back and the baby could ride on the front, but after a while when the baby is out of the carseat then he/she won't be able to recline in the front seat if needed to (my babies seem to be out of thier carseat by 6 months). Is this something I just need to suck up and deal with it, or does anyone know of a sit and stand stroller that reclines? Does anyone have a sit and stand stroller that they like and would recommend?
thanks alot!!!

Hi C. ,

I bought a joovy triple stroller(big caboose) ( double with a seat ). I have a now 5yr and 3old (boys)1yr daughter . I found that even though our oldest was getting older he still tired easily . So this was a practical choice for us . Draw back was that it was larger then a double ,so if your car isnt big enough it wont fit . Luckly I have a minivan so it worked out . Im looking to sell it now ,its in great condition we only used it a handle full of time . If your interested send me a e-mail . It retail's for about 380.00 I would be willing to sell for 250.00. http//www.strollerdepot.com

I love love love my Joovy Ultralight Caboose. The front seat reclines a bit, but not all the way. Probably enough for a baby who is starting to sit up though.

When we had our second our first was 2 and I also have big kids. We got a Baby Trend Deluxe Sit n' Stand and it comes with two seats, and the back one is almost completely reclinable. It's also removable to become a "jumpseat" for your older one to sit or stand. The infant seat goes in the front seat. When your baby is older, you can put him/her in the back and recline it, and the front seat (which has two positions- upright and partially reclinable), can be for your older child. The only downfall is that it gets a bit front-heavy, but it is anyway b/c the infant seat is bulky. It worked for us though, and when I'm in a store I take it sometimes (my kids are now 3 and 1), and the 1 year old can sit in the front now. Remember as soon as your baby can sit up he can sit in the front without much trouble. Mine could sleep in the partially reclinable seat. Also, this stroller is under $150!

Although it is expensive, I HIGHLY recommend the Bugaboo Chameleon stroller. This is the best money we spent on our baby, bar none. The stroller itself converts into a multitude of styles. It's light enough that I can jog with it. And I can maneuver through swing doors without any help - the stroller is so easy to manipulate, I can do it with one hand! When your newborn is tiny, the stroller can be configured in a bassinet-style. When the baby gets older, you can convert it so the baby is sitting up in the stroller - and it reclines to many positions! Best of all, there is a ride-along platform attachment, perfect for what you want.

Again, I realize they are very pricey. But I will tell you that all of my friends have said they wish they invested in one. Many of them bought strollers that came with carriers and they found the stroller part so hard to use, that they wound up buying other lightweight strollers as well. AND if they want to jog, they have to get a 3rd stroller. Some of my friends wound up buying 3 strollers that cost more than the bugaboo combined!

Anyway...check them out. They are well worth every penny!
