Hi moms,
We are expecting our second baby in June & I had a horrible time with nursing our first. I was all set to sign up for a breast feeding class at Baylor Grapevine (where I will deliver) but remembered The Nesting Place. Just wondering if anyone has had a good experience with their breast feeding class or with Baylor's (I did not take it before our first)-I just don't want to spend money on something that might not pan out & if I'm dragging my husband along with me, I want to get it right the first time! I really want breastfeeding to work out this time (pumping is not for me!) so any recommendations will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks so much!!

I would highly recommend the Breast Feeding Support Center at HEB hospital. My ped recommended them to me when we were released from Baylor Grapevine because my son was not gaining weight. Good Luck!

Hi Kristin,

Kay is the owner/educator at The Nesting Place-she is really great! We also offer one on one breast feeding consultations (before or after the baby is born) for $35 an hour if you are interested. (Available at your home or in our office) Let me know if you have any questions or need assistance :)

The Nesting Place is awesome and so is the owner Kay Willis. You will get incredible "personalized" attention with her that you likely will never experience in a hospital class. And Kay absolutely LOVES and is dedicated to what she does.

Good luck!

Hi Kristin.

I took the breastfeeding class at Baylor Grapevine and really liked it. It was helpful and informative. In fact, the instructor was so positive and motivating that, when I had difficulty nursing my first born, I often remembered comments she had said. With the help of that class, I was able to nurse my first child for a solid 15 months and am currently weaning my almost one year old. Good luck!

I had a great experience with Harris in downtown Fort Worth, but my first recommendation would be for Kay at The Nesting Place. I ALWAYS refer people to her!!

I wish you the best this time around!! :)

Hi Kristen,

My husband and I took every class that Kay teachesat the Nesting Place. After I daugter was born she came out to the house as well and gave us some further help. I had a C-Section and she helped me in nursing my daughter and even got me to lay down and nurse her which was afraid to do because of the pain. It became my most favorite way to nurse my daughter. Kay, has become one of my most dearest friends and I'm so grateful to her. I guarrante you won't be dissapointed by going to her. Kay will also come to your house and teach you rather than taking classes at her shop. That's an option as well. She will help you and you will be successful with breastfeeding.

All the Best,
P.
