When you breatfeed, say you start with the right breast one time, next time start with the left. You should always start with the one you ended with last time. Try that and see if it makes a diffence. P.

I have the same problem. I found some nursing pads that were much larger and thicker than the typical nursing pad. I would use one of these on the smaller breast and then use the regular thin pad on the larger breast. It really helped to even things out. After I weaned my babies my breasts were the same size again, thank heavens!

I had the same issue when my son was a few weeks old so I asked my lactation consultant. She said that it is normal for one to produce more than the other, and therefore be bigger. So, I started nursing as much as possible on the smaller one (like always nursing first on it) in hopes that it would start producing more milk. I don't know if that's what did it but they evened out after a while and I'm still breastfeeding my 5 month old.

Very few women actually have evenly matched breasts. And I've heard that nursing can definitely make the difference more pronounced. Things may even out as your body gets used to making milk for your little one. But you may want to mention it to your OB during your 6-week check-up, just to be safe.
If it takes longer for your breasts to even out (like the whole time you're nursing) you can always buy a bra to fit the larger one and pad the other side to match.

It will get better if you are trying to feed on both sides equally, or a little more on the small breast to help it get going! Your supply just needs to regulate itself, and that didn't happen until a couple of months in for me and then sometimes at night when she would sleep for a long time. I still notice a slight difference with my right breast being bigger (Still nursing my 11 month old) but it really is nothing anyone else would notice or enough to need any kind of correction.

mine were too. I've had four kids and I'm happy to say that they've evened out after each weaning.

It is normal for them to be uneven. Mine were too, but went back to equal after weaning. Like everyone has said, it helps to always start baby on the smaller side (even though lactation consultants tell you to alternate). Also, Victoria Secret sells breast enhancers--they're silicon cup stuffers--using one on the small side will make you look "even". Hang in there!

i've had the uneven boob problem since i developed boobs. i've found that the way you adjust yourself helps the small one look bigger and the big one look smaller. also adjusting bra straps differently for each side. I'm kind of big, so i don't stuff. but that's another idea.

Hehe. I laugh because my chest is the opposite. No ones breasts are the same size. Now that you are nursing, one probably has more tissue and ducts than the other. Now that your milk has come in, the difference in size is exasperated. It is normal that one mkes more milk than the other also. Mine are very lopsided, my husband doesn't mind, and I invested in good bra's that make them look "normal"

I was bigger on one side, with each child. But they were back to equal size after I finished breast feeding. Of course, they are 2 inches lower than they used to be... ;-)

Awww.... this happened to me too and it was so obnoxious.
You're probably nursing more on one side then the other even if you don't realize you are doing it.
Babies usually nurse more when they first latch on so try starting on the smaller side until they even out and then always start with the side that you finished with the last time.
(I had it backwards... I was starting on the right, switching to the left halfway through and then starting on the right again then next time. The right one was always drained... but DD usually fell asleep halfway through the left one so it never drained completely.)
There was seriously an entire cup size difference between them. My husband thought it was funny to call it my Lucky Boob (like Finding Nemo's lucky fin). I didn't think it was nearly as amusing as he did!

try feeding him more often on the smaller boob and see if they begin to even out...since nursing is supply and demand, that might help.

I've been nursing my baby who is now 13 mons. and have gone through the whole time like that. Same breasts too. I've been starting his feedings on the left (smaller) every time and now they are finally the same size. It can be annoying, especially when naked in front of the mirror or my hubby, but he didn't care. I think the problem was that I was favoring the right to start each feeding, so it produced more milk. Just switch and favor the left and it will get better.
