I'm looking for a Doctor for my 4month old in the downtown dallas area (am willing to drive a little for a good one). I'm not very pleased with the Doctor i'm currently taking my daughter too. I'm looking for a caring doctor, that makes you feel at ease,it gentle with crying babies, does not rush to medicate (or rush you out the door) and tries natural remedies. Friendly and knowledgable staff would be a nice plus! I get pretty sensitive about how people handle my little bundle of joy and her next round of shots is coming up soon. Please help!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thank you to everyone who gave advice! We went to our first visit with Dr. Wheelahan today at Forest Hill Pedactrics. They were great. Friendly staff and friendly down to earth Doctor. She was even willing to talk about my fears regarding shots. We will be going back.

Dr Molly Drodge(dro-jee). She's off Forest Ln and 75. She is very gentle and soft spoken. You would like her. :)

H.,
Along with Dr Droge is Dr Seibert. They both practice out of the Medical City Dallas office as do our other MD's- they each have a day, so the office is nice and quiet.
There are sick hours on Saturday in Plano, but it isn't too bad of a drive.
You can call and make and appointment for an interview-no charge- and see if you think it would be a good fit :-)

(I'm biased, I've worked there for 14 years as an RN, but I think they are great)

Both of my daughters (ages 5 & 7) go to Dr. Daryl Curry. He is at Methodist Medical Center in the downtown Dallas area. I interviewed several pediatricians when I was expecting my first child and Dr. Curry is who we selected. He is awesome and great with kids! My girls will be seeing him until they are too old to see a pediatrician. He is also great about answering all of your questions. Another plus is that his office runs very efficiently. In nearly 8 years of using him, we have only had to wait in the waiting room more than 20 minutes 1 time. I think that is pretty awesome!

Dr. Daryl Curry is awesome! He is at Methodist Hospital in downtown Dallas. His office staff is not all that friendly, but he is great, caring, and sweet. Let me know how you come out. He also lets you do your shots at your own pace and he does not pressure to do them if you don't want to.

I take my 4 month old to Pediatricians of Dallas, Dr. Claire Curtis. She is always very patient with my son and I and takes the time to actually talk to us and make sure we understand anything that we might need to know. The nursing staff is wonderful too.

I know that there are other doctors in the same office (it is a rather large practice)but all of the doctors there came very highly recommended to me. They are off of 75 and Walnut Hill. Across the street from Presby of Dallas.

Hope this helps!

Forest Hill Pediatrics with Dr. Wheelahan. They have a wonderful staff. A seperate "sick" waiting room with it's own enterance and exit. Dr. Wheelahan is all for natural remedies and she really listens to you. Dr. Pat Wheelahan and her staff always remembers my son's name.
I never feel rushed and I never wait more then 20 mins to see the doctor!
