Looking for Home Day Care.

I have asked this question recently and recieved some great responses, thanks. I put my daughter in a home day care run by a woman with 30 years experience. It didn't work out. My daughter has never been without me and at 11 months old of course she cried alot. I heard on a daily basis what a hassle my daughter was to her and I had enough. I do prefer the home environment so once again I am asking for any referrals. I would like to stay in the Plano area. Thanks again!

Hi S., I agree, you made the right choice by pulling your daughter out of that home childcare. I am one myself and I had a 12 month old boy that started 1 month ago part-time and he was crying his heart out, but with patience and love he `s past that stage. He still cries when his mom drops him off, but soon after she lives he is happy and crawling around ready to explore. Every child is different, it might take your daughter a little longer. Be patient and try to make the drop off time as short as possible, the longer you stay in the morning hugging and kissing her, the more it will upsets her. Good luck in your search for childcare.

Hi S.:
I don't have any referrals for you, but just had to comment on your situation. How awful that the daycare provider would say your daughter was a hassle. That woman should obviously hang it up after 30 years because she has forgotten what it is like for a child to be without their parent. I would have been devastated. Good for you, pulling her out of there. Good luck in your search. You are a great mom!

Hi S.,

I'm sorry your daughter is a handful for the other lady, but I would be glad to watch her. I am a mother of a 23mo little girl and I care for a 14mo, 12mo, 9mo. I will have a part time opening starting in mid April. We are moving from Allen to McKinney (121 and Alma) One of my babies will not be able to make the move with me. If you would like more info please let me know. I would be glad to have you over to meet me. I love little girls and my little Brittney would love having a girl playmate. Give me a call ###-###-####.
Thanks,
M.

What kind of hours are you looking for? I am a certified professional nanny with seven years experience, and am a graduate student of occupational therapy. I have taken off the last year from school to stay at home with my new daughter (she just turned one this past Friday!). I also have a 4 year old son who has Down syndrome. Consequently, my house is set up just like a preschool to facilitate maximum learning for both of them. We have learning centers (computer, reading, dramatic play, manipulatives, gross motor with an indoor swing, slide, mini-trampoline, and spring horse, and we have a ball pit. I also use baby signs and can teach your daughter too. My daughter is just learning to sign! It's exciting to watch and definitely decreases frustration on both sides!

I live in Plano off Parker and Coit and we will be moving to Coit and Springcreek in a couple of months.

I will be starting school again in the Fall, but am available now through the summer and could offer a temporary and quality childcare experience for your daughter, giving you time to really research a more qualified place for her.

I have an extensive resume that can be viewed at www.myspace.com/rrwolverton

I am not a home daycare, just simply a fellow mom who has done the single-mom thing and I know we moms have to stick together! I love kids and I love to help and I have been looking for a little one to watch to help supplement our income.

Let me know if you're interested!

Best regards,

R. Wolverton

Hi S.!
I'm so sorry to hear of your negative experiences with your most recent day care provider! I've been there and it's horrible.
Unfortunately, I don't have a referral for you, since I now have a home based business.
If you are interested in finding out more about a home based business, so you don't need childcare at all, let me know.
It is an amazing opportunity with a company is that booming!!

Hi S.:
I found our daycare Creme in Colleyville to be a great enviornment for my kids - it is expensive however smaller class size, the dedicated teachers and activites have made it a great solution while I am at work - I have had several friends that tried the home daycare and did not work out as well - what is nice is that Creme has the children seperated by age group and then as well appropriate activities fpr each group - I know they have one in Plano and if you have a chance, you should check it out, again you have to do what you feel comfortable with but I have been happy with the situation and recommend Creme to people.
