Looking for a Good Preschool/daycare That Reasonable in Price

I need some help with locating a good preschool type environment for my 3 yr old daughter. I can't get out to "shop" around too much because I have 2 yr old twins as well. I've looked into a couple in my area (Casselberry) and can't afford the prep or montessori schools. Does anyone know of a good, cheaper one in the Casselberry/Oviedo/Winter Spgs/Altamonte area?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

I just wanted to thank everyone for their responses. I found a great place in Altamonte Springs. My kids love it there and I get a multiple child discount. If you are interested in it, email me and I can give you their info. They have drop in care and half day through all day school. Their ages are from 18 mo to VPK. Thanks everyone!!

My daughter went to Kids World from 2yrs to 6yrs. They are located on Highway 17-92 in Fern Park at the Winn-Dixie Plaza. They are in the far left corner. Their number is ###-###-####. they did a GREAT job with my daughter and I feel they contributed to the self-discipline, social skills and behaviorial skills necessary to begin public school. GOOD LUCK.

Hi H.:
My neighbor Josephine keeps raving about her friend who runs a vpk program from her home in Oviedo. Her friend had a spot for one more child, and I think(?) would take a 3 year old. But I am not ready to send my son until January (maybe). I know this is a roundabout phone call but here's Josephine's number anyway: ###-###-####. We all live in Oviedo. Of course, I know you'll check it out and make sure it is the right fit for your daughter:) (If you don't like the home small environment, with my other daughter, I could highly recommend KinderCare on 436 and Winter Park Rd. -- right before Altamonte area. That center has a very good staff -- we attended for one year.

Sounds like you are getting some good options, here's another to add to the mix. My son just started going to Ascension Lutheran Church preschool. They have a mother's morning out program and preschool too. For 2 days a week 9 to 1, it's $115/month for members of the church, I think it's a little more for non members but I'm not positive about that. 3 days a week is $160 ish/month. The classes are small, the teachers are great in our experience so far. I don't know if they have openings, but you can call the church. It's ###-###-####. They are in Casselberry, off 17-92 and 436 intersection (close to the library). Good luck!

H.,

I had both my children at Community Alliance Pre-school and they loved it. It's a small church run pre-school where the children have smaller classes and wonderful teachers. The director's name is Karen. They are located on East Lake Drive in Winter Springs. I don't know if they have spaces, because my kids are now both at Keeth, but here is the # ###-###-####. Good luck.

Hello, I know that it is a very difficult process for all of us; as we the parents have to make the right decision about our precious children. First and foremost I am a Childcare provider from my home and I am passionate about what I do, I feel like I am making an impact for the future generations. I live right off of McCulloch Rd and N. Tanner Rd. My daughter is almost 9 and she goes to East Lake Elementary My son is 4 and he attends the VPK program in Florida's Child in Chuluota. I started my childcare in my home; we have been here for almost 4 years now. I started watching my neighbors kids first, just for extra money but then soon realized that word spread around and then I started to watch more kids so now it is my own small business that I enjoy doing on a daily basis. I have kids that when they started they were infants I am so blessed to be apart of their life. To answer all your questions we should meet. My rates are low compared to local providers and facilities in this area. If you need me one week the rate is $125.00 If you need me a couple of days a week it is $40 per day if you need me a couple of hours then the hourly rate is $6.50 per hour if it's more then 5hours then I will do the $40 daily rate. I have some training from DCF but I am not Reg/or Certified. My curriculum is a set schedule for all the toddlers that I have set over the years and this is one of the reasons I have all the same age group to me it is easier to teach them the skills they need for Pre K and Kindergarten. We do paint, coloring, 123’s, ABC’s reading time, play time, out side in the play ground time sometimes we go out the park, pet store (which they absolutely love LOL) and we have nap time breakfast, lunch, and snack times which they love as well parent's bring there own food, You are more then welcome to come meet me my husband and my kids anytime. Call me at your convenience at ###-###-#### my name is Mariam Pease I am bilingual in English and Spanish. Hope to hear from you and you have a blessed day.

I second Longwood Christian Learning Center. The owners and teachers just fell in love with and were fabulous with both of my girls, who are now 8 and 6 years old. They really enjoyed being there!
