Hi mom's! I am planning a B-day party for my daughter, she is turning 5 and i am inviting the kid's that she went to pre-school with. They will all be going to kindergarden but she misses the cut off. So for the party favor's i bought plastic colored crayon/marker boxes. But i am just wondering if you all have any cute little ideas besides school stuff to put in there. I don't really want to buy them that any-way, i want this to be fun for them! Like their own little box to have at home to play with.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks ladies for all the wonderful ideas. I think I will be looking at our local dollar store soon! I will for sure keep all these ideas in mind. I really like the Ice Cream Cone idea! That is a great one! Thanks again for taking the time to write back!

Bubbles, kids love bubbles. Actually I'll go to the wedding and baby section of the party stores and you can get these box of 25 bubbles in clear little plastic tubes. Just enough for them to have fun but not enough to spill everywhere. Also little stuffed animals go well also

well, its not really a theme thing, but considering how much of those tiny favors one can get in a year, i like it when we get something different.

one good one is ice cream cone coupons. some of the ice cream places around here will sell you coupons for a kids cone to give.

otherwise, at my daughters 5th party, everyone liked the little bouncy balls that go real high and plastic silly straws the best, even better than candy. dont worry too much though, seems as long as they get something, they are happy as can be.

sidewalk chalk and bubbles both are things kids will use up and enjoy. i second Kelly's answer about the wedding section for the bubbles. they are smaller and not as much mess if tipped and you get a whole bunch for like $6 or $7 dollars. dollar stores are great for the sidewalk chalk. you can get a little bucket with 12 big fat pieces of chalk for a dollar

My daughter recently attended a party and her favor bag had a small travel-size hairbrush in it, a headband, and a couple hair ties/bows. She loved it and it is something we actually use rather than junky toys that get broken or tossed in a couple days.
My kids also love to get ice cream coupons.
Another idea might be to get small flower pots and some seeds to grow flowers, you could either send it home with them or make it an activity/craft for the party. They could decorate the pots and then plant the seeds.
Have a fun party!

Silly Bandz - buy a package or two and distribute between your boxes. They will love these in kindergarden, even the boys!
Stickers
Silly Straws

Plus all the other ideas sound good too - maybe even a food treat of some kind. One girl handed out Flavor-Ice-Pops on the last day of school with a sticker on it that said "have a cool summer" and that was fun.
