I was wondering how to clean a convertible carseat. It is a Cosco Alpha Omega Elite. I cleaned her infant seat at least once a week. We have had this carseat for four months , and it is so dirty.

What can I do next?

My mother took mine to the self carwash and used the high pressure hose to clean mine, I thought she was crazy and would ruin it but it came real clean and did not tear it up. I do them all the time now!

I would have to second Samantha's response. I have one as well, and taking the base off is the key. The cover should come off easily after that step. I've had to wash mine a number of times in the three years I've had it. My kids just seem to get sick in the car!! Lucky for me :(

I vacuum mine and then periodically take the fabric off and throw it in the washing machine. Takes a little work to get it on and off.

We have the same carseat and it took me forever to figure out how to get the cover off to wash it. There should be a metal bar that runs through the base. You have to take it out and the base comes off and then you will be able to see how to take the cover off to wash it. Good luck, its a challenge!!!

Most are removeable...though I pondered how a 12 month old (Mine will be 12 months on july 7th) makes such a dirty carseat, hehe. My babies car seat which was previously owned by my now 4 yr old has only needed to be washed once since we first purchased it 4 yrs ago, due to my son getting car sick. And my oldest has had his booster for atleast a yr or so now and we haven't needed to wash it yet. Makes me feel lucky hehe. But they do usually come off and are machine washable.
