Hi ladies. I have a Chicco infant carseat, and I want to find a double stroller to use with it. I know Chicco makes a new double stroller, but it is super expensive, and since it's so new, I can't find it used on Craigslist yet. Has anyone used, for instance, the Baby Trend Sit-N-Stand double? My almost 2 year old doesn't really use a stroller too much, so this would be perfect - just something I can strap him into in a parking lot/mall, etc. Places where I don't want him to run off while I'm dealing with the baby. I also have a 3 year old so my hands will be super full as it is!

I have a double jogger that I love, but I'm specifically looking for a double stroller that I can drop the infant carseat into so I don't have to wake her up to transfer. Thanks :)

K

We have the Kolcraft Contours. It has an attachment that the Chicco seat sits well in. The stroller itself is a bit heavy, but I think that is probably the case with many double strollers. Good Luck - I had a hard time finding a double that worked with Chicco, at the time Chicco didn't even have a double and I was amazed!

I have a sit n stand stroller I bought 3 yrs ago when my second son was born and I loved it. Don't know if it's the exact model you are referring to. It's great because it's universal and fits most infant carseats (I think there's actually a list, but I'm pretty sure a Chicco seat would fit), but then you can remove the bar and it converts to a seat for a toddler. We used it just last summer in fact when the boys were 5 and 2 1/2 when we went to Sea World. I've just had another baby, so we're back to using it with the infant bar. Anyway, bottom line, I've really loved the sit n stand over a traditional double stroller!

I have the older Sit-n-Stand and used the Chicco infant car seat in the front of it. I'm not sure if it would work on the newer models of Sit-n-Stands. It worked out great for me because I can still strap my now toddler in the front and my 4 yr old can get on and off as needed.

The Joovy Caboose strollers are universal for carseats - the original is rather heavy so if you can find a lite go for it! I know I've seen them on craigslist around here. The Baby Trend as far as I know only accomodates certain car seats.

Hello!
I had an almost two year old and a newborn and a chicco carseat and thought about getting some sort of sit and stand or something to put the newborn seat in. I ended up getting a side by side McClaren stroller instead (off craigslist). The stroller let the individual seats recline, so my daughter could be in it, out of her carseat. When she was little, I took the single stroller and put her in my ergo carrier. When she got a little bigger, I put her and my son in the double stroller. A sit and stand would not work for him, because he is a runner! There is no way to really tie the toddler in well enough to keep my son in. Also, sitting on the sit and stand for the older kid does not look like much fun if you are tired - its not a really comfortable perch. If we were, say, at the zoo, and he was tired, he couldnt really rest/nap on it.

Anyway - a twin umbrella type stroller worked for us, and my reasoning was, ultimately, that she would only be in her carier 10-12 months, and in that time other options would work. A few times my daughter did end up being woken up in the transfer, but she is pretty easy going so it worked out ok.

Gould luck!
