Double Stroller Advice - Oak Park, IL

I have a 5 month old and a 23 month old. I got the Tango in Feb. and love it. It is a smooth ride, it opens and closes easily. The kids love riding in it. I love that I can use the car seat carrier with it. It seems fairly lightweight but very sturdy. The basket is not overly accessible but okay. Also, if you're looking for something to fold up compactly, it doesn't. I'm really quite pleased with it.

I have the peg aria, and use it for twins. It's fine in many respects and not so fine in others. I have to say if I was doing it over, I'd probably go with the mountain buggy urban double. The one thing I'd say good about the aria is that it's really lightweight and good for in and out of the car. For longer walks, especially with differently sized kids, it can be tough to maneuver, especially over bumpy broken sidewalks in the city. I have noticed that when one of my twins and my older son are in it, it's worse. Now that the twins are older, it's also getting harder to push and maneuver as they get bigger. In a perfect world, I'd have the aria for the car and the mountain buggy for home/neighborhood stuff.

Hi, we just bought the Zooper. For us, it was between that, the Combi Twin Savvy and the Mclaren Twin Techno. The Zooper is heavier, but more sturdy and seems to have more room for the kids. (I have 7 month old twins and expect to used this stroller for them until they are 3.) I also liked the accessories for the Zooper-namely, the boot, sun and rain shade and attachment for an infant seat. If you end up buying the Zooper, I would get it online, that way you avoid sales tax. We actually bought ours on ebay.

I bought the Aria Twin when my daughter was going to be born and my son was 15 months old. I know that it is not equipped to carry a baby carrier, but I made it work. I just placed the carrier in one the seats and it fit nicely, it just doesn't snap in. Anyway, the stroller is great for us. My son is now 2 and my daughter is 9 months old. I like it becasue you are able to go through a doorway without having to open both doors. It is lightweight and is easy to open and close. It also fits nicely in the truck of our small car.

If you look at other sites Target etc the Peg Perego had very bad ratings. I ended up getting the Maclaren twin techno. I really like it so far.

After much research, I purchased the Peg Perego Twin Aria. It is great for in and out of the car b/c it only weighs 12 lbs. and folds & opens very easily. My sons are now 2 (3 in May) and 4 (5 in August) and have had it since the youngest was born. They weigh 29 and 39 lbs respectively. The basket is easy to get to and huge. Both seats recline which my older son still likes. It has small trays for the boys though no cup holder. Sometimes getting it through some older,narrower doorways can be tricky, but we've learned to manage. It is no wider than a wheelchair.

I don't know anything about the Zooper, but I didn't want a tandem stroller for 2 reasons: the heavy weight and possible fighting over who gets to sit in front. The Combi was easy to fold and lightweight, but the seats were tiny. The MacClaren did not have easy access to the basket and was more cumbersome to fold.

Like one of the other mom's said, if I could have two, I would like the mountain buggy or other sturdy jogging stroller for around the neighborhood. However, the Twin Aria has suited us well. Good luck!

I have heard Maclaren twin techno is awesome. We actually went with Chicco C5. It had pretty good reviews from all the sites I visited and was much more reasonable than most. There are some annoyances with it... but what stroller doesn't have annoyances and so far so good! Good luck!
