I have heard about the hydroxcut and green tea? but are they natural for you is my question? I have a friend who say that weight watcher really works, but I want to hear all the other moms input.

Thanks
T.

It seems that everyone that keeps it off is on weight watchers, good luck, I know it is hard and frustrating!

I have been using sparkpeoplenutrition.com which is a free service it gives you meal plans, exercises, and help when you need it to fit your lifestyle. It has given me good results if I follow it. If you have any questions just ask me.

I have to also ditto the weight watchers program. I joined in January and I've lost 50+ lbs. so far. I've still got plenty left to lose, but I know that I will.

It's a great program. They are offering a really good deal on fees right now, so you should check it out. I'm really happy with it.

Be very careful with diet pills. For instance things containing xenadrine (yes they put it back on the market) are really no safer than before. A very serious health risk. Best combination is diet and exercise. I know. Once you do it for a while it will become habit. If you Need a Jump Start try www.FortWorthBootCamp.com or www.MansfieldBootCamp.com they also have a nutrional and meal planning program. Good Luck and God Bless

I have a family member that was very successful with weight watchers and lost alot of weight and has kept it off. She looks wonderful. I tried it myself online and I just found it very difficult trying to keep up with points and so forth. I didn't stay with it. By doing it online, I didn't attend meetings which might have helped to motivate me more. Good luck and I hope you find a program that works for you.

I have to agree with some of the other Moms. The only diet I have seen that has grest results and actually keeps the weight off is Weight Watchers. The others like Atkins as soon as you eat something not on the plan you gain your intial weight back and then some.

I know it is tough, I am trying to lose weight as well and it is so hard to sift through all those diet crazes out there. I started with the south beach diet. I have lost 30lbs in 3 months. I went from a 15/16 to a 9/10. What ever you chose, you must stick with it and you must exercise. In order to have optimum response you cant just diet, it must be a life style change and once again you must exercise. After being on the south beach diet for a couple months I have sort of taken all of the diets, combined them and made my own diet. The main thing you want to focus on is good carbs vs bad carbs. Carbs are good to eat, you need carbs!, but there are carbs that are better for you than others. The south beach diet really explained what foods are made of and explained how they break down in your body. Foods like bread, potatoes, pasta and rice are simple sugars and get broken down very easy and turn almost instantly into sugar. This gives you a surge of sugar in your blood stream. Your body uses some of this sugar as energy, but there is such a quick surge of sugar that your body ends up storing most of it as fat. Also you have such a quick surge of sugar/insulin in your blood stream, then it drops off and you end up craving more food because you went from having a lot of sugar to none. It is better to have food that are difficult to breakdown so you have a gradual, continual release of sugar into your blood stream. You can still have bread, pasta and rice, but you must eat whole grain bread (atleast 3 g of fiber per slice otherwise it is not whole grain), whole wheat pasta and brown rice. If you eat the right foods you can eat a lot of food throughout the day, because you are eating the right food. I am not saying that you need to go on the south beach diet, but reading it did make me understand the body and breakdown of foods. If you need any help, suggestions or motivation, please email. ____@____.com Good Luck!! Fyi, I had major reactions against hydroxycut, because it has a lot of caffeine derivitives in it. I would stick with good ole diet and exercise.

I've tried it all too, and Weight Watchers is the only thing that's worked for me! I agree that keeping track of the points is a pain - but once you do it for a while - you get used to it, and it becomes second nature. You don't HAVE to write it all down - you can just track the totals day-by-day (that's what I do now - after loosing almost 40 lbs.)

Also - when I was younger (33/34) I had a stroke and a heart attack. The FIRST QUESTION that they asked me both times was... Are you taking ANY DIET PILLS?? They specifically asked about Metabolife. They later told me that the over the counter weight loss pills were as dangerous as illegial drugs!!

So - be VERY VERY CAREFUL with anything that is a "quick fix" drug!

Good Luck!

Hi Kristene, I did try something that does work finally. It is a cleanse program that has shakes full of "good for you" stuff and it does get rid of toxicity which does help you lose weight. They have a 30 day and a 9 day cleanse program, then a maintenence program. It is a way of life for me now and this stuff works. I did a 9 day cleanse figuring I can try anything for 9 days, then I lost 10 pounds so I did another 9 day and lost and another 8 pounds. I went from 176 to 158. I tried it only after seeing it work on my husbands boss' wife's father who i had met 3 years ago and was terribly obese. I saw him around Christmas and he had slimmed down and the doctor took him off of 3 of his 4 blood pressure meds. Email me if you want more info. I do sell it now for the discounts I get for my products. I even give my daughter a shake in the morning to get her off of her sugary cereal and it also helps with concentration. www.gocleanse.com/kathiland, ____@____.com

I second SparkPeople. It's wonderful and it's FREE. There is no magic diet. Eat less and exercise more, that's the only way to take it off and keep it off. SparkPeople has tons of free resources, advice, support, etc. to help you along the way. I've lost 20 lbs since I found them less than 2 months ago. Good luck!

Weight Watchers. Because it really helps you make the lifestyle change necessary to keep the weight off. You can also plug in any recipe to get the points to stay on your plan and you can enter the calories/fat/fiber from nutrition labels to get the WW points in the food item.

The best way to lose weight is to eat healthier, and excercise more.
There's no quick fix or magic pill that will give you lasting results like the good old fashioned diet and excercise.

I have found the weight watchers points system to be very user friendly. It is much easier to count points that to track calories, fat, and fiber since the points take all of that into account already.

Weight Watchers and regular exercise are the only things that I have found that work. I don't know but what I've seen of Hydroxycut seems like a scam. Just a supplement with a paper diet and a suggestion to exercise. Weight Watchers and exercise (really hard exercise) works.

Lifetime has a great group fitness program. The kickboxing class is addicting. I have lost 18 pounds and had a blast. I go the the gym in Garland so I know the instructors are great at that location. Good Luck.
