I am expecting my first child and will have to use daycare as staying home is not an option. I would like to use a daycare in McKinney as that would be the most convenient for both me and my husband. I am looking for advice/experiences, either good or bad, for ANY daycare facility in McKinney. I am early on in my search and would like help narrowing down the options! Thank you for any input you may have.

Thanks for the responses about Heritage Learning Center. Unfortunately their starting age is 18 months :( I guess my search continues...

What can I do next?

Hi S.! I'm currently full and don't take kiddos until they are one but you may want to consider an in home daycare. I know of quite a few providers who take infants and it might be a great experience for your little one if you find that special person. A couple of the kids I have watched in the past have gone to Heritage once they turn 4 just to get them ready for Kindergarten and I have heard really good things about them so once you decide to make the switch get on the waiting list if they have one. You can check out my website and there is a list of people in the area that have registered in home daycares. It's www.kidsinbloom.blogspot.com Good Luck! A.

I agree...Heritage Learning Center is WONDERFUL. I love all the teachers there, they have good curriculum for the pre-school and school age kids, and they are very caring and attentive.

I am planning to take my little one to Kindercare in Allen. The teachers in the infant room have been there for 15 and 20 yrs. They are little old ladies and are the sweetest I had met. It was the only place that would work with the different needs of my son. (like laying him down with his bottle for a nap) Everywhere was strict on certain guidelines and I didn't feel cared about the individual needs of each child.
I have heard good things about Discovery Learning Center in McKinney also, but I do know they have a waiting list. Good Luck
