I am looking for any suggestions on a Really Good place to take my 3yr old to get her 1st hair cut. I have had Many terrible cuts in my time so that's probably why I've waited so long to have hers but it's well overdue. She already tells me that she doesn't want it cut so I'm hoping to find a place that does kids cut frequently or someone who is very good with kids. Thanks :0)

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks eveyone for the suggestions. I tried to take my daughter to Short Cuts @ International Plaza. She didn't want to get it cut so I decided not to push it. I would recommend it to anyone with little kids. It's a very cute atmosphere and not to pricy. They did raise the price recently to $15.99 but it's still pretty reasonable. Thanks again for the advice!!!

You're not far from a place on W. Bay, a little east of Missouri on the north side of W. Bay (in a strip mall near Ice Cold Air) - I'm so sorry, but I don't remember the name of it. They have carousel animals that the kids sit on instead of barber's chairs, & DVD players so she can watch a movie (one they have or bring your own). It was awesome, but I haven't been there in years, not even sure it's still there. Good luck -

I LOVE Shortcuts in International Mall in Tampa. It's fairly reasonable, I paid $13 for my sons first cut. It is totally geared towards little kids. They have these awesome chairs for the kids to sit in, they are all shaped like something fun, an airplane, power wheels, etc. It is perfect for a first hair cut. They even give you a little certificate saying it was the first haircut!

There is Short Cuts at International as the PP mentioned and there is a place near Citrus. Unfortunately I can't remember the name. It is either in or across the street from Citrus Town Center. From the flyer I got, it seems the perfect special place to take a girl (they do boys also) for a fun cut.

Not sure if you have a trip planned or want to wait for her haircut until you go, but Disney's Magic Kingdom has a small barber shop right near the Mickey Fire Station when you walk into Magic Kingdom that does an AWESOME 1st haircut and its CHEAP! We heard about it last year and took our daughter for her 1st cut and she LOVED it. They are very good with kids, the kids are given stickers all over and Disney toys to play with while they are up in the raised chair. Plus, they are already so excited about being at Disney that they are distracted from thinking anything negative about the experience! After the cut/trim whatever you want, they will put it up in a pony or clips, whatever you choose and it stays out of their face all day! They can add a little gel and pixie dust too (girls love this!). They save the hair clippings in a napkin with a Mickey sticker, give you a 1st haircut certificate AND a set of Mickey ears with 'My 1st Haircut' embroidered on the back! This is all for like $10 or $14 (I can't remember exactly). It has been SOOOO worth it. We did my sons this year at 15 mo and he cried at 1st but they were great and he stopped and got a cute cut. They expect everyone in there with cameras/video too.

Go during a parade, lines are shortest. There are no reservations. Good luck! We will do it whenever we go now!
