Hi all
There have been many requests for people looking for 'work from home' opportunities. I too am tired of all the scams out there!! It's all selling, MLM, telemarketing, etc - I'm sure you all know exactly what I'm talking about.
Since there are so many of us looking for a home based opportunity I'm wondering if maybe we could all help each other.
We could all be independent contractors, but work together as a team and support system for each other.
I think we should all share and assess what skills we all have and then go from there. Maybe some of us share similar skills and some of us may have diverse skills, which would also be beneficial.
Again, we may find that none of our skill sets match up, but it's worth looking into.
The type's of skill sets for the business idea I have in mind would be:
-administrative
-graphic design
-website design
-Bookkeeping/accounting-(Quickbooks)
-Marketing
-Desktop publishing

Thanks
A. H.

Hello A.. I'm a freelance marketing professional working out of my home. Think your idea is a good one. I currently have a couple of clients, but am always looking for ways to network, as well as help others. There may be a project I work on where I may need services I can't provide such as graphic design, etc...

Are you still looking to start a group?

Hi A.,

I like the entrepreneurial bent here. I'm currently working FT, travelling too much, but making good $$. Would like more balance, but dont' want to give up the $$, the mental stimuli, etc.

I'm new to the area, I'm happily married, I've got an MBA, a pretty swell marketing background, no interest in church attendance, lots of personality and need to socialize, and no friends here except family. If nothing else, I'm interested in meeting other women with young kids who are as ambitious and business-loving as I am, but also coping with the need for family time and just sane 'balance'. Maybe a social club can start the business ideas flowing?

Hey A.,
Can you explain more of what you are thinking? Would we just more or less recommend each other for specific things. I am an artist (I have all of my corporate work experience as a graphic artist) and I would love to get more work.

I think this sounds great and I have wanted to do something from home for a while. I have 5 years worth of Administrative skills (currently working with a major homebuilder in the DFW area). My skills include Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Please keep me updated as things progress and let me know if I can participate.

Hi A.,
I am interested in what you have in mind...I know what you mean about the scams and selling. I currently watch a couple of kids in my home, but was looking for other options too.

As for what experience I have...from your list:
administrative
accounting (payables, and I use Quickbooks at home)

Let me know what you had in mind and if I might fit that idea....

Hi A.,
I have twins who just turned two! I know how busy you are! I'd love to do something out of the home - I have a little transcription experience and tons of customer service experience - some bookkeeping too. I think this is a great idea you have!
Take Care,
J.

This sounds awesome - count me in! I have years of finance/accounting experience and have community volunteer experience (event planning, etc) as well. I am currently working full time but I will be losing my after school sitter in a few weeks and have not found anyone to take her place so I may have no choice but to quit my job. So believe me, I'm open to anything right now! Great idea! I hope you get lots of responses. M.
