Boutique Style Clothing

I'm looking to find some cute dreses for my two young girls. My oldest had the most adorable dress that we found at a boutique in California. It had adorable free flowing flowers attached to a long stem which was then sown onto the shoulders. I have been checking online for similar dresses on sites such as babylulu.com. The sites that I've come across are rather expensive and I'm looking for something more resonable so that I can buy more than 1 dress each!! I prefer a store that is online since shopping with two littleones is close to impossible.

thanks in advance

What can I do next?

Try- www.bestdresedkids.com and a www.achildscloset.com They both have cute things and you can usually find good deals. Also, try Nordstrom. You can usually find a good deals on their clearance racks.

I've never tried ebay, but I know lots of people who have, so it's probably worth a shot.

D.,
Have you tried E-bay? I have done really well finding some unique kids clothes there- in fact I just bout a Baby LuLu dress for my 2 y/o for only $15.00 and that includes the shipping!

IF you have a chance to get out try Chocolate Soup on the corner of Preston and Royal in Dallas. They have wonderful clothes! I LOVE LOVE LOVE the sales! Personally I don't mind if a dress is last seasons as long as I am paying $10.00 when it originally sold for $90.00! It is a small shop and hard to navigate w/ kids, so I save it for a "me" time, and then I'll treat myself to a yummy, blissfully quiet lunch at he Celebrity Cafe next door!

I fell in love with the Baby Lulu brand when my daughter was about 18 months old. It is adorable, comfortable and wears well. However, it is way to expensive for my budget. So, I buy EVERY piece of my daughter's clothing on EBAY (other than gifts from the Grandmas). Approximately 90% of my EBAY kid's clothing buys are Baby Lulu and most of the rest are Gymboree and few other boutique brands: Trish Scully, Mis Tee V, Hanna Banana, Cach Cach, etc. On EBAY you can buy NEW or USED. I buy mostly USED, but since its primarily Baby Lulu, I know how it looks after being laundered and most Moms that buy/sell Baby Lulu tend to wash only in cold water on gentle cycle and line dry. Therefore the items stay in good shape and perfect for resell.

Tips for being extremely satisfied with all your EBAY purchases:

--First, check the FEEDBACK rating to ensure they have a high 90 or better rating (I like to see 98% - 100% positive) and that they've been buying/selling for a while on EBAY, at least 50 responses and preferably 100 or more responses. Checking these two things helps ensure your RISK is low in being scammed or receiving something that you're less than satisfied with.

--Always read the description closely, to see if there are any tears, stains, piling or other flaws. Even those with GREAT ratings will sell items that may be flawed. However, they have GREAT ratings, because they are open and honest so that you know exactly what you're bidding on and will reflect in your maximum bid amount.

--Check to see if the seller notes that they are a smoke-free and pet-free home, if that's important to you. The ONLY time that I was disappointed with a purchase, was when I rec'd the items and they smelled of smoke. However, I couldn't really complain, because the description was accurate of no flaws, and it didn't say anything regarding a smoke-free home. So, IF you don't see in the description, then ASK BEFORE you bid. You can e-mail all sellers.

--Learn the abbreviations (I think there's a place on EBAY that has a whole list of them to learn), but basically, NWT means New With Tag still on it, NWOT means New Without Tag still on it, LN means Like New, EUC means Excellent Used Condition and so on.

--Before you bid, I suggest you WATCH the auction until close to the end, if you have flexibility to come back and watch it until it ends. That's because you increase your chance of winning the bid and not driving up the price by bidding at the last moment. If you don't have the flexibility then by all means bid, but make sure to put the maximum amount that you would be willing to pay and EBAY automatically will bid for you up to that amount as others place their bids.

Well, I hope all this helps. I think you'll find that the kid's boutique clothes sold via EBAY are a GREAT VALUE. You can buy many for half or even a fraction of the price when brand new and many look brand new when you receive them or close to that. Kid's grow out of their clothes so fast, that I've found this is the most economical way to dress my daughter in precious boutique clothing without being wreckless with my budget.

Take care and enjoy. L.

There is no online shopping for it but I love a store called small fry. They are located in Denton but it is the best store around. My sister travels from KS and we always meet there to start our shopping weeks. They have the largest selection and the best prices! I also like Choclate soup but I don't like the way they mark everything up just to turn around and call it a sale. At Small Fry everything starts out cheaper then retail and goes down from there.
