Baby Sock Suggestions

Silly question, I know...But does anyone know of any baby socks that actually stay on. Kind of tired of coming home from somewhere and my baby has one missing. He's only 8 weeks old, so he's not able to remove the socks himself. :)
The socks I put on him appear to fit snug and comfortably, but they still seem to slide off.
Thanks!

What can I do next?

funny answers!
Baby gap socks are the only ones that worked for my kids, both born at the end of November so I wanted something pretty warm.
I ended up using my firstborn's socks on her brother as hand/wrist warmers by cutting a hole in the toe and fitting it over his hands. Worked great when jammie sleeves were too short!

Never found a true solution because if they didn't slide off her feet, she pulled or shoved them off. Buy bulk. ;)

I often had them wear the robeez style leather shoes over their socks. I had good luck with Carter's socks that fold down as well.

in my daycare, I have an infant who's been quite capable of pulling off her socks.....are you ready?....since she was <4 weeks old. I am not kidding you!! She knows to "hook" her big toe in the top of the opposite sock & pushes it off!

Socks today are made so sucky....that it's impossible to keep her feet warm. Can't wait until shoe time....she WILL freak. Oh, & her mom has been putting the 3yo's socks on her....they end up looking like leg warmers AND she hates them. She cries in frustration when she can't push them off! She's definitely one smart cookie!

Zutano makes a bootie that snaps around the ankles.... They have a
cotton style as well as fleece. You can use them instead of
socks or over socks and they do not come off. I preferred those to the soft leather shoes when my babies were little...... Just seemed cozier. if you google "Zutano infant bootie" you can find them.

I hated all of those sort of fuzzy, terry cloth looking ones. They never stayed on! My favorite ones are the thinner ones that sort of look like they're out of t-shirt material.
One way I made sure they absolutely stayed on when I needed them to for warmth when we went out was to put a soft soled "Robeez" style show on with them. Target sells some really cute ones in their own brand and they aren't expensive at all. Babies R Us sells their Koala Brand that are priced OK, especially when they are on sale.
My daughter wouldn't keep socks on and would take them off the second she could after we put them on. The soft soled shoes was the only way we could keep them on her.

Carter's makes a sock that you fold over, has a little decal on it and a stiched ribbon around the ankle. Those do not come off.

My kids do this too. The only thing that works is to put shoes on, ones they can't remove themselves. I like Robeez, or similar. I never understood why anyone bought shoes for babies until this started happening.

old navy sells "tripple roll socks" which we put on DS and they go up to his knees. He's not one to take his socks off. We like them because they have a bit of rubberized writing on the sole to help make them grippy. They are cotton so they wash easily, and don't sweat up his feet. Also, since they go up to his knees they keep his legs warm (hopefully) when his pant legs ride up, like they so often do in the stroller or carseat.

Shoes over the socks helps, tights under long pants worked for my guy, and no one knew, and I suggest you buy multiples of whatever style you use (I still buy the $1 socks at Target) so when one is lost you still have matching pairs.

Trumpette!! Great socks. Small business started by my neighbors but it has gone international the last 10 years...celebrities buy them now as well. Try them out. Cute, too!!

Old navy triple roll socks are my favorite. Only ones that I've tried that I like, and they are not too $$$!

The only success I had was with the Zutano booties. And he eventually learned to take those off as well. He spent most of his first year barefoot.

Lol. Reading the answers seems to shout that once again everyone is different. :)
My DD (winter baby) had long skinny feet. I loved the baby socks that the Children's Place sells for her. I think they are meant to be folded down, but I always pulled them all the way up. They always stayed on.

My DS was born right before summer...he did not have the same feet and those socks (the few times he wore them) didn't work so great for him (shorter chubbier feet).
He was 6 months by winter and Gap socks (fabulous deals on the clearance racks) and Robeez leather shoes worked best for him.

HTH! GL!
