Does anyone have ideas for easy and inexpensive appetizers for a mostly adult group? I am bored of putting out cheese and crackers or chips and salsa at parties! Thanks

What can I do next?

I like to do a little fancier cheese and crackers (like from the cheese section - blue cheese etc.) then put out assorted olives and grapes.

Aritichoke Dip. Easy and delicious. I don't have the recipe in front of me, but I've made it so many times I'm pretty sure these are the correct ingredients.

I can Artichokes, drained and coarsely chopped
2/3 cup mayo
1 cup grated parmasean cheese
A couple of shakes of Garlic Powder (however much you like)
2 teaspooons lemon juice

Mix it all together. Bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes until bubbly and a little brown on top. Serve with melba toast rounds. Yum yum.

These are two favorites that I always make for any party I host or am invited to. Both are crowd pleasers.

Spinach Dip: Serve with a sliced baguette, tortilla chips, or cut up veggies. Put the dip in a bread bowl for a pretty presentation if desired. http://www.us.knorr.com/Recipes/6200/1/Knorr-Spinach-Dip....

The mini quiches are very good & easy to make. Almost any recipe from pillsbury in the apps section is pretty good too! http://www.pillsbury.com/recipes/mini-swiss-quiches/5f258...

Remember to have fun & not stress about it. If worst comes to worst go to Costco & buy mini apps, stick them in the oven and put them on a pretty platter!! :)

**mini puff pastry shells with a dallop of goat cheese and a tiny piece of sun dried tomato on top
**tomato, mozzarella and basil on a toothpick drizzled with balsamic vinegar
**toast points (store bought noni brand is good), with a tiny bit of cream cheese and a piece of smoked salmon - sprinkle capers over platter
**tiny endive leaves with blue cheese and walnuts on top
**fruit on wooden skewers (use a fruit baller for melons)
**pre grill skewers of cajun spiced (store bought dry seasoning added to olive oil and brushed on before grilling) shrimp and serve warm or cold

Buy a packet of Pepperidge Farm puff pastry. Thaw and lay out. There are 2 pieces in the packet. Cut each piece in half lengthwise. Sprinkle with white cheddar or gruyere and prosciutto or ham. Now fold in each side twice lengthwise. So first fold 1/4 then second fold to the middle then fold in half or roll it. Then slice it about 1/4 inch. Lay out on baking sheet and bake about 20 mins until golden and cheesy goodness. Very easy! It only takes a couple of mins and they will be gone even faster.
