My doctor took a immediate leave of absence, so now I am lost on how to find another doctor! I am 23 weeks along, and I am going to plan on having another c section due to my first daughter being to big to fit. I have medicaid and I really want a doctor that has more then 5 years experence ( ugh!)Can anyone help??

What can I do next?

I'm an OB nurse at Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital, so I can tell you about some of the doctors that I work with, that I know take medicaid.
Dr. Al-Jerdi & Dr. Wolf are great, they're in Trenton; I'm not sure about the insurance thing.
Dr. Udo is in Taylor, and I know he takes medicaid.
Dr. Singh & Dr. Kluge are in Trenton, but not sure about insurance.
Dr. Hoprasart is in Southgate, not sure on insurance.
Dr. Finazzo is in Trenton, and I'm pretty sure he takes medicaid.
Also, our residents have a clinic in Wyandotte, on Biddle by BlockBuster. Yes, they're residents, but they are always under the supervision of an attending. I would totally trust them. I know they take medicaid.
Hope that helps!

Where are you located?? If your doctor happened to be a part of the Oakwood system, and was practicing in Flat Rock, then Southgate, she did NOT take an immediate leave of absence! I just spoke with her yesterday and she's at a new practice and wants her patients to know!! :) There was a dispute with Oakwood and they're not telling her patients what happened.

So IF it was Dr. Stephanie Crain, she is now in Trenton at Downriver OBGyn, in with Dr. Sal Finazzo. You can find their number online or in the phone book. I spoke with her at length yesterday about the situation and she wants her patients to find her!! (They put a little ad in the paper this weekend).

If it's NOT her, then let everyone know where you're located, and hopefully someone can help you out. Thanks!!

I have an AWESOME OBGYN team that I go to. They are in Livonia, so I don't know if that works for you or not. They're on Farmington Road, just south of Plymouth Road. Their name is Dr.'s Neal. It is a father and his 2 twin daughters (Sandra & Susan). You can pick who you want to go to for your first appt, but after that, for all OB appts, you may see any of the 3 of them, because whoever is on call the day you have your baby will be the one to deliver, so this way you get to know all of them, and they are all great. They are associated with St. Mary Hospital, which I just loved when I had my daughter there. I had a c-section, and both Dr. Sandra and the dad were there for that. I believe they take medicaid, but of course you would want to call them and ask. ###-###-####

You need to mention where you live. This site has a pretty far range :) People could be recommending doctors that are 100 miles from you - and I'm sure that won't work
:)
