My daughter is 15 months old and woke up in the middle of the night 2 nights ago vomiting she did it from about 2am untill 4 and then slept when she woke up in the morning she seemed fine. Played just like normal ate fine did not have a fever or anything. Everytime we layed her down for a nap she would get sick again.. then she was fine for a day and then today again she isnt wanting to eat anything really is acting fine but threw up a few times. Any advice on how to get her to stop feeling sick?

What can I do next?

Be careful what you allow her to consume. Dairy is difficult to digest. Monitor her for signs of dehydration. Keep the fluids flowing, but the less sugar the better (in other words, juice might not be a good choice, but watered down it might be ok; plain water; oral rehydration solutions like pedialyte or something; or breastfeed if that is what you normally do).

Disinfect all her toys. It is not uncommon for toddlers to have a bout of rotovirus (which can include diarrhea). Most important thing is to be aware of the signs of dehydration. At the first signs, call the doctor and have her seen ASAP.

It can take some time.

Water, Pedia-lite and a BRAT diet. Let her play and eat as she feels like it. Dont let the reoccurring getting sick stop you from letting her natural energy to just go.

Sometimes it can take a week or so to get the tummy back to normal.

If it seems really bad after two weeks still, call and make a Dr. appt. It could be a food allergy or something more serious.

it is a virus.. it takes time to work its way out..

I do not feed kids taht are puking.. clear liquids only. they have to stop puking for at least 8-12 hours before they get a cracker..if the cracker stays down then we slowly advance their diet..

so I would give her pedilyte or gaterade for most of tomorrow.. if she is fine all day cracker or toast.. you are adding food too quick.. you have to wait for the virus to run its course.. most of these bugs also have diahrrea after th puking stops..

Mine did that 2 nights in a row in December. Threw up at night. Fine the next day. Threw up at night. Fine the next day. Luckily it stopped at that. Weird stomach virus. And it did take her a couple of days to start eating normally again.

Keep the foods light and easy on her stomach. The rest is a waiting game.

Has she had a cold at all. My son, who is not 12, was like that as an infant. Whenever he had a cold and post nasal drip, he would vomit at night when he was laid down. If if continues to happen check with your doctor about possibly giving her some Benedryl before bed to help dry up the drip.
