I have an 11 month old baby boy, our third child. I think at 7 months he was eating a 3.5 oz container of fruit at 8am, then a bottle at 10am, 1/2 container each of a veggie and a fruit for lunch at 1230, then a bottle at 2pm, same thing at dinner time with a bedtime bottle at 8pm. He was still drinking most of an 8oz bottle at that time for each feeding. When adding baby food, there is always a transition period where they tend to get over full and have more spit up I have found.

Now he is eating fresh bananas, cheerios, cheese, bread, noodles...anything soft since he wants to feed himself and actually gets mad sometimes at being spoon fed.

Well, for the 1st year of life, per our Pediatrician as well... nurse on-demand.
For the 1st year, breastmilk/Formula is a baby's PRIMARY source of nutrition. Not solids and not other liquids.
It is a building block time for development.

To avoid your milk supply from disappearing... always nurse BEFORE solids. If giving solids before nursing, a baby will wean from breast.
Also, if you give a bottle/Formula to replace a nursing, your milk supply will get affected. Decreasing. So up to you.

My kids as babies, nursed on demand. At that age, my son for example was drinking about 8 ounces. Per sitting. And nursed about every 3 hours. My daughter too. Which was fine per our Ped.
At that age, they were only getting solids 1 time a day. Feeding solids 3 times a day, is something that is gradually worked up to. For example.

Solids for the 1st year, is NOT their "main course." Breastmilk/Formula is.

all the best,
Susan

My chunky (>95%) 8 month old dd schedule is like this: 6:00 am nurse about 5 min, sleep. Next feeding (around 9:30) 1 jar 2nds fruit & cereal, nurse 5 min. Nap. At lunch she gets 1/2 container baby yogurt or 1/2 2nds veggie, nurse 5 min. Nap. Nurse 5 min. Dinner is 1 jar 2nds combo meal & 1 jar 2nds fruit or 1/2 jar 3rds combo meal & 1 jar 2nds fruit, some juice (diluted). Bedtime, 1 jar 2nds fruit & cereal. Nurse 5 min. Sleep. On the 3 days/week I work, she will drink 2-3 4oz bottles of formula during the day. She also snacks on Gerber (or generic) puffs and fruit/veggies in her mesh feeder.
